The IR-MALDESI source underwent a major re-design in 2020 and integrated novel approaches to extend its capabilities. The base system offers a novel patented laser technology, Peltier cooler, ESI source, and a 3D translational stage. The base system comes with a starter kit containing essentials to get your imaging program up and running quickly.
Other options are available including an advanced optical package which allows one to achieve high spatial resolution (< 20 microns), a chromatic aberration probe to enable the sampling of non-flat samples and to carry out 3D imaging.
RastirZ
RasitZ is a customized APP that controls the entire experimental sequence. It allows for the direct analysis and imaging of samples, from biophysical studies to tissue imaging. RastirZ allows for the creating of arbitrary ROI’s and defining all key parameters for the experiment such as laser power, spatial resolution, communication with instrument, control of the 3D stage, and many more parameters. RastirZ is packaged with the source but will be available here for the download of new releases.
Consumables and Other products
Mass Spectrometry Imaging and the IR-MALDESI source has some items that will need to be replaced over time. These items include such things as ESI emitter tips, glass slides with different characteristics, and safety glasses. We also offer different laser systems (burst mode UV laser), a preferred sprayer for depositing matrix and or internal standard(s), a high quality LC pump for the ESI source, and a table on wheels for easy coupling/decoupling to the mass spectrometer.
